A polygraph and my own datamaster breathalyzer helped to convince a prosecutor and a police commander that the breath test results from the arrest were not accurate. The Operating While Intoxicated charge was dismissed.
Julie was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated. She swore she had only drank three beers over the course of the evening. I arranged for her to take a polygraph. She passed it. I then set up a controlled drinking experiment and had her tested on a datamaster breathalyzer, the same model the police use, while drinking three beers over the course of four hours. I videotaped this experiment. This proved beyond all doubt that the results of the machine were wrong. I then got permission from the prosecutor to speak directly to the commander of the police department and present to him my evidence that I would be showing a jury. After reviewing the evidence the police agreed that in fact she was innocent and dismissed the Operating While Intoxicated charge against her. |
